Pick One GoalIf you try to do everything, youll end up doing nothing. Taking on too much at once dilutes energy and focus, meaning you cant bring your best self to any task. If youre currently working on two or more goals, cut it down to one. I know its hard, but by picking a single, concrete goa l youre situation yourself up for the best chance of success.2. Identify Exactly Whats Stopping YouWhen you try to get started on your project, what stops you? For one week, document the reasons why you avoid getting started. By playing the observer, youll tackle excuses blocking you and reveal opportunities to change in productive ways. Perhaps theres a skill you need to learn in order to move forward. Or if youre struggling with feeling tired when you sit down to work, you could try eating a snack or showering beforehand to wake up.3. Get the Small Stuff Off Your PlateIts difficult to focus on a dream project when youre inundated with emails and other requests. To create breathing room, try the two-minute rule. If something can be done in two minutes or less, do it now instead of putting it off.
